download Training Peaks structured workouts into apple watch

My running coach creates my running workouts in Training Peaks which I download to my Garmin watch.

I now have the Apple Watch Ultra and would like to download the workouts which will sync with Training Peaks once completed.

Is there a way of doing this?

Thanks

The app Watchletic does exactly this, downloads TrainingPeaks workouts to your watch, and then let's you export them back to TrainingPeaks when they're done. Could be worth checking out!

I use iSmoothRun with the yearly Pro subscription for my running and cycling workouts from TrainingPeaks.

It’s incredibly freeing, once you get past the learning curve.

Gone are the days where I have to go to the track to do my intervals based on 400m, 600m, etc.

It calls out the countdown to the next intervals and goal pace audibly and on the AW screen, and gives you your live and average pace audibly and on AW screen. It will even tell you whether you are ahead of pace or behind, etc.

It even uploads a GPS bread crumb map of your run or bike to TP

Etc., etc.; if there’s a metric you want, you can get it on your AW screen or called out audibly

There is one way of doing this without a manual input of the workouts from TP. iSmoothRun will download the workouts and you can follow them in your AW Ultra. It will require a subscription to iSmoothRun for this particular feature. iSmoothRun can be found here and the developer is implementing action button functionality, which will make those workouts easier to perform.

Hello Manan_in,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities, and congratulations on your Apple Watch Ultra. To get started, you can download TrainingPeaks app from the App Store. Here's how to download apps on your Apple Watch: Download apps on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

I don't think that was what Manan was asking for. Syncing your workouts from Apple Watch to TrainingPeaks works once you set it up.

What he asks for, and what I would also like to do, is to take the workouts our running coach prepare on Training peaks and sync them to the Workout app on Apple Watch so we can follow our training program.

Only way I found so far (but still to test), is using the Stryd app on the Apple Watch to do my run (you need the Stryd footpod to use it). Looks OK, but I already noticed it doesn't show my pace targets.

Hi,

I have the new Ultra as well, I'm a coach and athlete, PLEASE work with TrainingPeaks and create the platform that Wahoo and Garmin has for so long. the ability to download structured workouts straight to the watch and perform the session accordingly. it's something that Apple should have done a long time ago, it's really needed all around the world for athletes and coaches. the sync is exited for uploading workouts at the end but not to follow them during training. sometimes long intervals session it's too hard to remember so this function is critical for athletes, that way they don't need to remember the session.

please give us some info if there is something going on for this direction because I know so many people that are wondering about it.

Thanks :)

This is a big miss for the AW ultra in my opinion...if they are going to advertise lasting through a full IM, they need to understand the way these athletes train and the tools they use. I got the AW Ultra and am about to move back to Garmin for this one reason, and I would bet this is why they aren't selling more to the athlete community. Apple need the ability to import workouts from at least the following two platforms to be a true athlete's watch:

Training Peaks
