can you update the OS from Yosemite on a macbook pro mid 2010's?

finding contradictory information about updating from Yosemite on my macbook pro, its a mid 2010 but with an updated sd harddrive. works fine but Im having issues with safari not being compatible with some websites now and thought mabe updating would help, I dont want to switch browsers. Any thoughts or experience with this?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

A mid 2010 MacBook Pro can be updated to macOS 10.13 High Sierra.

Updating to High Sierra, will update Safari along with it yes. .
