Hope you guys are doing well.
i have encountered with a strange redirect virus “pwz2”. What is does it, it automatically pops up on Safari/Chrome and takes you a new tab and asks you for checkout of any websites you have visited.
i have removed all third party apps, cleared caches and cookies, still the virus doesn’t go.
can someone please help. It looks like phishing and could steal information.

It's not a virus. You unknowingly installed something. Mostly likely adware.
Download and run MalwareBytes for Mac. It's free to use and easily uninstalled using its menu option when you're done with it.

Hey, Thanks a lot. Maybe my niece might have downloaded something which I was unaware of. I used MalwareBytes and it worked. Thanks a lot again.
