Music on my iPhone: don't organize by album
Is there a way to organize my music library so that songs aren't grouped by album on my phone app?

The default view when you open the music app is to show recently added music grouped by albums.
You have the option to view your music as playlists, artists, albums or by song, but there is no way to force it to show you one of these option upon launch of the app.

I see what you mean. In that case, the “song” view is the only one that won’t group them as albums, but that’s probably not the solution you are looking for.
You could try submitting this feedback to Apple to change in a future update:
When I launch the app I go to my library and click “artists,” then I click an artist and it takes me to their music, but in that view their songs are grouped by album. What I’m asking is this: when looking at an artist’s music in my library, is there a way to view their songs WITHOUT the songs being grouped in albums?
