How do I verify my iPhone is unlocked?

I unlocked it, but then got a replacement (identical from Xfininty Assurant plan. I want to confirm that the unlock endured as the phone was changed. Rookie question...Sorry... When I swapped my first iPhone 8 for another iPhone 8, I simply transferred the SIM card over from one phone to the other. Thanks.

Call AppleCare and give them the serial number. Or just put a SIM from a different carrier in it and see what happens...

Where did you buy the phone? Did you request an unlock from your carrier?
