Apple Watch 5 44mm Band Slight Wiggle

So I just got my Apple Watch 5, 44mm. I’m using the original band. When putting the bands in, I made sure they clicked and snapped into place. However, when I’m holding the watch in my hand the bands wiggle in their housing just a bit (less than a mm). Is this normal?

Also, when installing the bands, I installed one the wrong way (as in, inside-out). I was able to slide it out and fix that, but could that have damaged the snap mechanism that holds it in place?

Greetings, azolnierek.

Being able to change your Apple Watch band is a great feature, but we can understand why you’d be concerned that your band wiggles.

“Never force the band into the slot. If you don't feel or hear a click, slide the band to the left, then to the right. If the band is installed properly, it won’t freely slide until you hold down the band release button. If the band still doesn’t lock, center the band, and push it into place. Then carefully wiggle the band up and down. Don't wear your Apple Watch if the band is sliding.“ Change your Apple Watch band - Apple Support

When you originally put the band on upside down, did you force it into the slot? If so, it may be best to Contact Apple Support for further help.

All the best.
