Itunes not recognizing new Iphone 2020 SE

Itunes does not recognize my new Iphone as a device. I do not have my full music collection on the Cloud so I have tried numerous ways to get this to work: Plugging into different USB ports, verifying the cord was Apple certified, restarting the computer and device multiple times, checking the drivers (I am missing the Apple Device driver), removing and reinstalling Itunes (with firewall/antivirus off), troubleshooting the Iphone. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make these two Apple products communicate. My Iphone shows up as unspecified in my computer, so I feel like this is a driver error. Is there even a fix for this? It is incredibly frustrating given I have had iPods 15 years ago that communicated better.
