Is there a keyboard shortcut to toggle focus between the two windows? If for example I'm scripting in one window and writing notes in the other, going back and forth every few seconds, I'd rather not have to keep moving my hands to the trackpad

If I have two macOS Terminal windows open in split-view, I can switch between them with ⌘+` (back-tick). Does that work for iTerm in split-view?

Yes indeed - no luck!
I should clarify that I am talking about two windows of the same programme: iTerm2.
Command + tab seems to switch to the latest accessed other programme, rather than the other tiled window. I have tested and the same thing happens if I have two windows of, say, safari, or word, open tiled together.
It's a minor inconvenience, but is also driving me mad!
FWIW, ⌘` works for Safari and Firefox. Don't have iTerm installed to check.
Just to be clear, the ` (back tick) key is the one with ~ printed on it.
