Old iTunes account
I created my iTunes account with an old Apple ID. I have been able to sign in to get my songs. I would like to join Apple music. Is there a way to switch my iTunes account with its library of music to my current ID?

You can't make the switch you mention, but you can set up family sharing between the IDs to share purchases made with them. See:
