Partitioning a Sandisk SSD
I have Sandisk 1Tb ssd. I am not able to partition using disk utility. I changed it from ExFat to MacOS journaled. The partition is still greyed out. I am at a loss what to do next

OK, in Disk Utility's View Menu choose Show all Devices, try the top listing for that device.
Is the Partition Map GUID?
I want to use it in my Tesla model 3. I read in one of reports that if you want to use it for music in addition to the video ( for sentry mode, cameras etc) you have to have two separate partitions , Teslacam for the video and another for the music.
Can I ask why you want to Partition it?
Could likely shorten it's life.
OK, take care my friend. :)
Do not know. I can not see the disk on my Mac
I think the problem is with the Sandisk SSD. It works fine on the Tesla. It does not even show up on my mac or on disk utility any more. Since it is working on my Tesla for video I am just going to let it be for now.
