I have the same problem!
I must delete all de pages in the iBook with hyperlinks, and the conclusion is that the last version of Pages doesn't have the all functionality of iBook Author. For example Pages can't use glossary, and many widgets. In this momento I don't recommend the importation, is better iBook Author.
Did you update to the latest Pages?
Yes, updated, restarted iMac. Still unable to import the IBA files.
You said "some" do not import. Are there some that do import? If yes, any difference between the two sorts?
Apple never promised anyone that Pages 10.1 would have all of the iBooks Author functionality, and only the most naive would expect the entire application to be integrated into Pages.
