I have two question:
1) I installed Ad blockers for safari, however, i cannot "check" the boxes next to it in "Extensions" to activate it. I looked up for solution but they didn't work. If any of u kn how to fix this, kindly let me kn.
2) This is my new laptop and the "software update" is taking forever. Is this normal. Now it says "About 5 hours remaining." Really???????
Consider removing the Ad blocker extension, then get the most recent version of it from the Mac App Store (which should be the only source for Safari extensions). I use Ad and Stuff Blocker and it downloads as an application which I run, before it will install the extension in Safari 13.1.1.
For the extensions, try booting into the Safe Mode to see if you can enable them.
The initial installation time can be off by quite a bit.
