That depends on your TV. Is it one of the supported models for the Apple TV App?: Apple TV app - Devices - Apple
If not, does it at least support Airplay?
If not, you'll need either an actual Apple TV. or a Digital AV adapter to connect your iPad to the TV with an HDMI cable.
