Ipad Mini 5 Screen Recorder Black bars

I really thought that the Black Bars on the left and right side of Ipad Mini 5’s screen would be gone after the latest update. My friends who is using Ipad 6th gen is able to record his screen without these annoying bars. My question is, Is it still a norm for my mini 5 to record this way?
