Capitalized text

i’ve been following posts about the Apple Notes screen going blank, which is a frustrating problem that I believe started with a recent iOS update (approximately two updates ago, but I am not sure exactly which one). I also noticed, immediately after an update (I suspect the same one), that when I edit text I am typing, particularly with email and text messaging and if I edit something mid-message, it defaults to capitalizing the first letter of the new text I type, which I always end up having to go back and correct. This did not happen before, and it is an annoying feature of the iOS update. I recently started using dictation and the same thing happens there. The microphone goes off and when I start dictating again, it capitalize the first letter of new dictation, even if I’m in mid-sentence. Can this be fixed?
