need change ipad keyboard to ABC style permanently

my keyboard is driving me crazy, wantbthe original ABC keyboard without the numbers on the, any idea how to do this permanent thanks

iPad Air 2, iPadOS 13

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for your post about the keyboard layout on your iPad. We'd be glad to provide some guidance.

Let's start by having you check a setting in the keyboard section. Go to Settings > General > Keyboards and try turning off Enable Key Flicks. This might take care of that for you. If not, and you would rather have a different keyboard, some are available on the App Store. We invite you to check them out to see if one meets your needs a little better. If needed, check out Download apps and games from the App Store for ways to explore what's available.

made several changes to settings, so now sorted, but everything Apple so dam complicated....the iPad settings are getting as crazy as iTunes is......convoluted and impossible to navigate, wish it was more simple and with every iOS update things are moved around, usually buried deeper, makes searching for a solution so much more difficult....it’s way over complicated......
