Final Cut Pro trial

Hello I am not really into video editing but a friend of mine asked me since i am an apple user and he is thinking of switching to apple too. He asked me that he heard that there is a free trial of Final Cut Pro for 90 days and it only requires your name and email address and location, does that mean you can just download the free trial over and over again? And would it be legal? I hope someone answers so I can recommend to my friend to switch to mac too because he is really into video editing
