My child linked two devices to an apple ID that she can't remember, what's the protocol for removing the apple ID from these devices? What do I need to provide? The devices are an iPhone 6s and iPad 7 I think.

To sign out from each device the Apple ID and password is required https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT208242
If the same Apple ID and password is used on both , sign out separately , it doesn't mean if you sign out the first device the second will also sign out , you have to manually sign out second device .

She forgot the passcode and doesn't know her apple ID. The device is a replacement from asurion insurance. I'm currently trying to find out if I can get help from them to prove ownership.
