MacBook Air 2020 frozen

I was working on a couple of Word for Mac documents when my MacBook Air froze. I have a cursor, yet it will not execute any functions. How do I force quit a MacBook Air? It’s my first one...

First try using the <Option><Command><Escape> key combination to open a dialog box that will allow you to force quit and unresponsive apps.

If that doesn't work you will have to hold down the power key for a few seconds to "force" powering-down your notebook.
