How can I undo deleted words iPhone 11? (single instance of a block of text)

I typed a long email message and accidentally deleted it when I selected the whole text passage to change the font. For future reference, is there a way to undo (recover) this block of text? I've made this same mistake in the past when creating long social media posts and notes. It is frustrating not being able to recover my work. I was told to shake the phone but that didn't work for me. Maybe those directions were intended for an older iPhone and operating system.

Would you please point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Please Note: I'm not asking how to restore text messages. I know how to backup & recover.

I understand you and that is that you want to know whether there is a way to recover deleted text message (From the text entry box) before it was sent. Unfortunately, the answer to your question is a NO. Currently that is not possible. When composing a text message, the text while in edit mode, it is not saved anywhere and therefore cannot be recovered once deleted.
