Dot on screen

I have a new 2020 iPad Pro and have noticed a dot on the screen .not sure why its there any ideas?

A pencil doesn't put a dot on the screen like a pointer. If you're not using a mouse or a track pad, I don't know what that dot is, to be honest.

Restart your iPad and see if it goes away --> Restart your iPad - Apple Support

That looks like a pointer control. Have you connected a mouse to your iPad?
