The HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is supported by Apple's AirPrint using wired/wireless connectivity. This allows you to use the device without HP software/drivers.

When it is powered on, and networked, Apple's Bonjour should detect the printer under that Default setting. You would click that entry, and the Use: selector will automatically look for compatible HP drivers, or you can manually set it to AirPrint. It will then be re-added to the Printers panel. Then you right-click on it and make it the default printer.

Thank you. I have been shutting down and re-starting all day. I have a brand new modem, and wireless router. My old printer (Canon) stopped working - same error message on my macbook - no printer found. I reinstalled Canon drivers, restarted everything, and nothing worked. Still same error message. I decided to start from scratch, and got this HP printer today.

Everything going along smoothly, the printer says it's connected to the wireless, my macbook says it's connected to the same wireless. Restart everything, and no printer is showing in dialog box to add.

I am at my wits' end. HP support tried to access my computer and go from there, but the tech wasn't familiar with Macs. I ended up hanging up.
