I have Sharp Aquos 60” TV. I want to watch movies from Apple TV+ on it. I see on a previous post that Apple TV+ can be used on my 2nd gen AppleTV (Model1378). It’s not one of the apps, so I went to “Restore” and reset to factory settings to get the latest update. Still no Apple TV+ app. How do I get it? I tried mirroring a movie from Apple TV+ on my iPad to the TV, but it wouldn’t allow it.

That advise is mistaken. Apple TV+ is not available on or compatible with Apple TV (2nd generation), not even through AirPlay. Devices you can use with the Apple TV app and Apple TV+ - Apple Support. You will need an Apple TV (3rd generation or later) to view Apple TV+ content.
