FileVault blocking Time Machine

Time Machine is being prevented from completing a backup by FileVault and I gives this message: "Time Machine did not back up because FileVault was encrypting or decrypting a disk. Backups will resume once FileVault finishes." How can I find out when FileVault has completed its encryption?
