Lid closed sensor doesn't work as expected

I've noticed that sometimes when closing the lid, screen turns black, but right before the lid is closed, lights back up as if I opened the lid. Happens on different OSes and hasn't been fixed after SMC reset. https://youtu.be/BvB1kQzHAHk

The mechanism that runs that is pretty simple. There is a magnetic reed switch in the body and a magnet somewhere on the display assembly.

If you bough DIRECT from Apple, you have a 14-day free exchange period (in the same country as purchase, except in Hong Kong and Singapore and maybe a few others in the Far East).

after the 14 days it would be a warranty Repair.

It happens under macOS Catalina, macOS Big Sur, Windows 10, and even on the OS selection screen (when on boot you need to hold Alt)

Tried turning it off - the same result.

As you can see on the video, screen turns black too early. It looks like for some reason sensor responsible for lid closed detection is calibrated incorrectly. Basically, screen turns back on when for sensor it looks like screen went through the keyboard and opens on the other side.
