iPad is in recovery mode and is asking to connect it to the computer. I put a brand new charger in it to try and connect to my MacBook Air but it is not working. The device will charge in an outlet, but it is t recognizing being placed in a Mac. I’m just trying to restore it. And, before I placed it in recovery mode, the screen said the device was disabled and to press the home button to unlock but the hone button isn’t letting me unlock the device. Someone please help.

Connecting it to ITunes but it’s not connecting to my Mac at all. (Yes I’ve already changed out the cable) I really don’t want to have to make an appointment to the store but it’s looking like I may have to.
