Zoom picture freezing when using multitasking

I would like to know if there is way to type notes while on a zoom call using the iPad. When ever I try to use multitasking during a zoom call, the zoom call freezes.

Notes Hello! I bought iPad Pro yesterday. When I drew in Notes I could zoom in on the screen and draw more accurately. Then I updated IOS and there is no such function anymore. How can I return the ability to zoom?

IOS16 Can no longer change cursor position by swiping spacebar in messages and notes Just updated to IOS16 and am having inconsistent luck with where I can use the “press and drag on spacebar” feature to slide my cursor . This does not work in text messages or in notes . This does continue to work in safari browser
