Screen glitch/flickering

This occurs every time i shut down the laptop and i bought it few hours ago. Currently running on Catalina 10.15.5. Already exchanged it once and this is the second laptop. Spoke to apple support and they said it might be a factory defect the first time, tried all the solutions provided by apple support such as reinstalling mac os etc for both the first and second laptop. What is happening, can anyone advise me what to do?

Hi aloysius097,

Thanks for your post! We understand your MacBook Pro shows a graphical anomaly every time you shut down the machine. We see this is your second device that is showing the issue. After reinstalling macOS, are you restoring from a back up, or setting up the device as new? Does the issue persist when in safe mode?

First, reinstall macOS and set up the device as new. We suggest when going through the steps you opt to erase (format) the disk.

Try starting the machine in safe mode.

In my opinion, this artifact may be indicative of some sloppy programming, but NO enduring defect whatsoever.

Once you select Shutdown from the Apple Menu, there is nothing more your Mac can do for you until it has powered off and if you choose to power it back on again. Whatever it does AFTER you choose Shutdown is merely an annoyance. Get over it.
