Hi all,
I have the above machine with a twice per second diagnostic LED #1 flashing light issue - the machine does not post or offer any signs of life at all when trying to turn on.
I have tried new power supplies and RAM. No change.
Anyone have any insight here id greatly appreciate it.
Thanks BDAqua - thing is the light is blinking permanently, not only when I press the power button.

If LED 1 is blinking when you press the power button your power supply is too weak to handle the current load of powering on the iMac or you have a bad connection in your wall socket. If your wall socket is good, then you need to replace the power supply.
