iPad Pro sidebar favorites/ bookmark removal

Question

How can I remove the entire sidebar of favorites and bookmarks on my iPad Pro screen, it takes up half the page!

iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi, Cell

problem solved, just had to press the blue open book icon!
