Mac Pro (Early 2008) and NVIDIA Quadro 4000 compatibility

Hi, I have an early 2008 Mac Pro and I wanted to upgrade my graphics card. Will the NVIDIA Quadro 4000 be compatible with this? I ordered the HP brand version of the graphics card.

The Mac Pro runs on 10.6.8 on one hard drive and 10.11.6 on another.

At least the Mac version is, not going to have any boot screens with the PC version though...

The nVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac Display Card from PNY is a professional graphics card, intended for use in Apple's Mac Pro computer workstation. The card installs in an available PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot. It is compatible with the Early 2008, Early 2009, and Mid 2010 revisions of the Mac Pro. Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.5) is required. Mac owners who use Windows via Boot Camp will also be able to take advantage of the card's features.
