Apple ID not valid or not supported

Hello, I have an iPhone 5s, but I can’t sign in with the Apple ID mail configured on that iphone, firstly because I forgot the password, but when I go to iCloud or apple website to restore the password, the message “Apple ID not valid or not supported” shows up. Please I need some help

Get Support          Work through the screens to get a chat option. You may have to pick a slightly different problem.
