how can i make my macbook compatible with zoom system requirements for virtual background

How can i make my macbook compatible with zoom system requirements for virtual background. Every post I've seen on this just gives a link on Zoom's system requirements page. I don"t understand what all of that means. Is there a simple update I can do or would I have to buy a whole new computer, which wouldn't be an option right now.

MacBook, macOS 10.15

You need to specify which MacBook model you have. You cannot 'make it compatible' it either is compatible or it is not. If it's not, you need to buy a newer/more powerful computer since the relevant component is the processor and you cannot upgrade that.

Go to Apple menu > About this Mac, what is listed in the first two lines under the OS version? For example, mine is "MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)" and "3.1 GHz Intel Core i7".

With that, you can look your model up on Everymac.com to see the full details. So, mine is actually a 4-core, 7th generation processor which means it meets Zoom's requirements for both 720p and 1080p (the latter would need an external webcam, since the builtin iSight camera is only 720p).
