iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
It does come with Pages, which may or not be a viable substitute.

No. You have to purchase Word.

No. You decide if you want to purchase an Microsoft 365 subscription, or the single-purchase Office 2019 for Mac, or even the free LibreOffice Suite (which is an Office clone). Older Office 2011 for Mac suites are dead on Catalina as they are 32-bit packages.
