Other System Data Keeps Growing

Hi Community,

My iPhone has been complaining about a full storage recently. The "Other System Data" was 20GB when the phone first complained. After uninstalling/offloading some apps, it has grown to 33GB within 2 weeks. Is there a way to clear this data? What may be the cause to this problem? A software bug? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Xianze,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're trying to make space on your iPhone by deleting data from the Other storage category. We are happy to provide some information!

First, read through the information on the Other data category from the Apple Support article How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support to get a better understanding of what Other is, and how it manages itself.

If you find the Other data isn't reducing on its own, try restarting your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support and check for updates: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

Best!
