I bought an used Ipad for my grandson, but he somehow erase everything, now I need the previous owner Icloud id and password, what can I do restore the Ipad to work agagin?

how to restore my I pad, I bougt it thru internet, DOnt have the previous owner cloud ID, what can i do to make it work again?

Unfortunately due to Activation Lock, it will never "work again," without the cooperation of the previous owner.
