Recent reduction in volume on MacBook Pro

The volume on my MacBook Pro recently dropped. I've checked my software (it's up to date) and double-checked my settings (all are fine), but can't get the volume back to normal. Suggestions?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

If this happens, you may need to reset the NVRAM or PRAM on your MacBook.

If problems persist, you may need to take your MacBook to an Apple Store or Apple authorised repair store to replace the Logic Board Battery on your MacBook.
