Weird system font that replaces some coding style font in browsers and mail clients

Hi there, there is something weird on all my computers (iMac on Catalina and a MacBook on Mojave).

There is a weird system font that replaces some coding style font in browsers and mail clients.

In this picture I show you the same email in Outlook for macOS, and in Outlook for Windows. This happens too in the browsers like Safari.

As you see, the code style font in macOS is awful, and hard to see.

There is a way to change that in the entire system?

Thanks!!

Hey ema07cqc,

It sounds like you have a concern with the font on two of your MacBook devices.

As a first step, check to see if there are any unrecognized Safari extensions that could be causing the font issue. Go to Safari > Preferences, then click Extensions. If you see any unrecognized extensions here, deselect the extension’s checkbox to remove it. Restart Safari then see if that resolves the issue. Here's some more information about managing Safari extensions: Get extensions to customize Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, try resetting the standard fonts on the Mac. This will remove any third-party fonts that you have installed, so you will need to install them again after performing this step. Perform this step by opening the Font Book app and then go to File > Restore Standard Fonts. Here's some more information about this step: Restore fonts that came with your Mac using Font Book - Apple Support.
