I just realised that only the right fan is working, and I am really worried if I have a second corrupted fan

Hello there,

sorry if my question is stupid, but I am wondering how many fans does my MacBook Pro 2019 13" have? I ran the diagnostic selftest while booting up my device, turned out that there were no issues at all. But I just realised that only the right fan is working, and I am really worried if I have a second corrupted fan...

Thanks

Your 13-in model has only one fan, and only needs one fan because it does not have a heat-generating discrete graphics chip and private display RAM.

The diagnostic was written with features for every model MacBook Pro. The 15-in model has two fans.

Mac fans have a RPM (output) senior, so that their speeds can be observed and manipulated based on measured temperatures. The fans will speed up as more heat is generated.

If the diagnostic had found a dead fan, it would have called out the problem. Instead it generally shows the code for "No Fault Found". That is not exactly the same as "all is well" but it certainly does not indicate any issues.
