Volume Issue with Netflix and others with a Mac 10.15

I'm having an issue with my MacBook Air. I have a MacBook Air 10.15. Whenever i'm in a safari browser with Netflix, Hulu, HBO max or really any type of website that plays movies/tv shows the volume is very low. Despite the fact that I put the volume all the way up. I tried making different accounts and opening up different browsers with all websites but for some reason the same problem continues to persist. The only time I get to hear at full volume with these websites is when I put on headphones which is very annoying.

Hello Sarahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with audio playing at a low volume from websites in Safari unless you use headphones with your Mac. You're in the right place to find a resolution.

Let's start by ensuring that you've tried the steps listed in the resource below:

If you can’t hear sound from your Mac speakers - Apple Support

If there's no change after, reset the NVRAM on your Mac and keep us posted on the results:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

Also, does the volume issues occur only when using Safari or have you experienced it playing audio in other apps on your Mac?

Cheers!
