Teleported to Safari link

I got teleported to a link on Safari saying my devices battery is damaged by 3

viruses and i had to download a vpn. Is this fake? I have it on a video. Just now i got another from trying to convert MP3 player thingy. (Downloading music) it told me to download a vpn. There! I got it again as a photo! Is this real? Im scared.

Worried about previewing harmful links in Safari Hello. Recently I accidentally previewed a link that was suspicious, claiming I had a virus. I knew this was fake, but I was more worried if just previewing it put me at risk. I tried finding an answer, some people saying yes and some saying no. I keep my phone up to date, take precautions, etc. So should I be worried about this? Thank you

safari on ipad redirects to a dangerous website I’m trying to research methods of travel in the south of France. While using Safari on my iPad yesterday I had a pop up message on one French travel website saying I had a virus. I didn’t really believe it but shut down Safari and cleared cache and history and restarted my iPad just in case. I also subscribe to Norton 360 on my PC so decided to install it on my iPad iPad too. Today I tried to log on to but was redirected to a site that Norton flagged up as dangerous. I closed the tab and cleared cache and history again and restarted my iPad but I still get redirected to the same site every time I try the bateauxsaintraphael website. I’m beginning to wonder if I do have a virus on my iPad (or in Safari) or is it a problem with the bateauxsaintraphael website? I’d be grateful for any advice. [Link Edited by Moderator]

All such messages are scams.

Close the offending page, and avoid sites that use such bogus advertising tactics.

Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
