iMovie green screen feature

I video myself in front of a blue screen and then use iMovie green/blue-screen feature to replace the background with an image. This generally works well however occasionally iMovie recognizes parts of my body as the background and removes them- which results in me looking somewhat transparent, like a ghost. I'm not wearing blue.

What can I do to solve this?

iMovie changes tint (drastically) when connecting Green/Blue Screen I make a video of me against a green-screen in QT, then import it into iMovie over a timeline of background still images or motion backgrounds. The QT video of me has been color-corrected before saving or importing into iMovie. When I import it and layer it over the BG images, prior to selecting Green/Blue Screen (still in Cutaway) color still looks natural, see image: When I select Green/Blue Screen from the drop-down, regardless of the predominant colors or lightness/darkness of the BG image, it immediately, drastically changes my skin tint to pink or beet-red:-) as you can see here: I can, of course, drastically adjust the color/saturation in iMovie's Color Correction palette. But this will also turn my blue shirt into drab green...and more importantly, shouldn't be necessary. Why does it force this tint change and how can I override it?

iMovie green screen feature keeps turning my subject purple?? Okay so I am really struggling with changing my background in iMovie. My subject was in front of a green screen, and when I click the "Green/Blue screen" under Overlay Settings- it not only takes away the background but turns the subjects eyes purple and there's a horrible tint. Her eyes are blue and I'm thinking the lighting may have made the background look blue too while filming?? Is there any way I can mask the subject? I'll attach photos to try and show the before and after. before^^ after^^ I also tried different images and even solid colors but still the same results. I'd appreciate any help!

Skin colour problem I shot myself speaking in front of a green screen. In the clip my skin colour looks natural. But as soon as I add a background of any kind in iMovie my skin goes a very unnatural pink. This has never happened before. I often shot with a green screen and add in background later. My skin never changes tone or colour. Why now with this clip? And any idea how to fix it? I'm using iMovie 10.2.3 on a 2020 MacBook Pro. Thanks! Carl
