what to do when your gmail box is full and you can't send any emails?

what to do when your gmail box is full and you can't send any emails? I'm getting a message: Mail cannot be moved to mailbox Google. The Imap command append failed wi/server error over quota?

What do I do please and. Thanks for all your help.

You should check what takes up your Google storage at https://one.google.com/storage. It could be that e.g. Google Drive or Google Photos filled up your Google storage, preventing Gmail from working. You can also purchase more storage space here if needed.
If Gmail takes up a significant portion of your Google storage space, consider deleting some mail that you no longer need. On the Gmail web interface (https://mail.google.com/) you can filter your messages to only display large ones, e.g. typing larger:10M into the search field and pressing Return will show you all messages larger than 10 MB.
