Smart Battery Case (iPhone 6s) Listed as "Apple Accessory"

Recently purchased two new/sealed smart battery cases from the same seller, which I use in rotation with an iPhone 6s. Both cases seems to function properly in regards to charging the phone. Initially, both cases were listed in iOS as "Apple Accessory" while being used. After a week of use, one of the cases began to appear as "Smart Battery Case", while the other continues to be shown as "Apple Accessory". I've tried the remove case/restart/insert case that an older threat suggests to have the second case update as well, but no luck so far.

iPhone 6s, 13

Hi BigSpruce,

We understand you are using 2 Smart Battery Cases that are shown as 2 separate accessories in iPhone.

We would recommend ensuring your iPhone software is up to date. You can learn how to do so here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Additionally, the firmware for Smart Battery Cases is updating automatically when connected to Wi-Fi for a significant amount of time. We would recommend using the case shows as 'Apple Accessory' for longer durations of time so it may be updated.

If the issue persists, we would recommend you Contact Apple Support.

Hope this helps!
