Is there a way to make your iphone Ring to find the phone. Its somewhere in the house but we can't find it

Have someone call your phone number -- i.e., just make a normal call to it.

Or use any computer internet browser and log into www.icloud.com/find

If the phone is located, one of the options you can control from there is to play a sound. More information in If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
