Lock keyboard and trackpad
Is it possible to lock the keyboard and trackpad on a MacBook using some keyboard function and then to unlock again? I'm looking for the keys to not do anything nor the trackpad to do anything.

This locks the screen, not the keyboard and trackpad only.

Control Command Q is the key short cut.

If the idea is to prevent tampering while you step away from the keyboard, you use a combination of things:
System preferences > Security & Privacy > Require password [ immediately | nnn minutes ] after sleep or screensaver begins.
then manually sleep your Mac or manually start the screensaver with a "sleep-corner", or wait for the screensaver timed start.
The Apple community forums queries are answered almost exclusively by Volunteers who are other Users like you. Apple employees generally only respond to posts that have gone un-answered for days.
Politeness and courtesy are cherished here. Telling someone to go away -- who took the time to answer, even if you can not use that particular answer, is not appreciated. If you don't like certain advice, please just ignore it.
