how to reinstal just quicktime for OS 10.12?

Hi, going mad trying to find the simplest thing: a safe download of Quicktime 10.4 so that I can reinstal it on my MacOS 10.12 Sierra! Do I really have to reinstall my entire OS Sierra just to fix faulty Quicktime???
