Ipad and ipad air keyboard

I am buying an ipad and have already placed an order for an ipad 10.2 keyboard (one from eBay because I'm a student and money doesn't grow on trees for me). I am now thinking of buying an ipad air and was wondering if I could keep the original keyboard case for the ipad air. Both ipad are the same size but the ipad has a 10.2 display compared to the 10.5

Apple’s Smart Keyboard for iPad (7th generation) will also work with iPad Air (3rd generation).
