You know what they say, put it in rice. If its was a quick drop in the bath then you pull it back out it should be fine. Wait about 6 hours before charging it through the port, wireless charging is ok. It is 1m water resistant for 30 mins so I would be happy to say it would be fine.

Dry it off and leave it be for a while to let any excess water evaporate.

Well, you already know that liquids and electronics are enemies.

In such a situation, eventual damages to internal components might appear after some hours, days or months.

Cross your fingers and do not use your device for 24/48 hours, hoping that the water didn't damage your iPhone.

Unfortunately, those accidentals events can't be repaired.

Rice is a very poor solution, I wouldn't waste time or rice.

If necessary, use silica gel bags and, as already said, cross your fingers.

Water damage is unpredictable. One never knows what areas got damaged until we start seeing symptoms of water damage. By then it becomes too late to correct the issue.

I recommend that you let the iPhone remain idle for 24 hours and then try again.
