Water resist - iPhone XR

DO NOT WASH YOUR PHONE. Yes, in controlled laboratory tests, iPhone is "water resistant." It is NOT "water proof," which is a significant difference. And if you damage your phone washing it off, it will NOT be covered under warranty and you will have to replace the entire phone.

If you need to clean the speaker on the front of your phone, take a VERY LIGHTLY dampened microfiber cloth and gently clean the speaker.

I would personally not use alcohol. The earphone for iPhone is at the top of the phone in the screen. Alcohol can strip the coating on the screen. Apple did recently say using a 70% alcohol wipe is acceptable to kill virus on your phone, I have resisted doing so to protect my iPhone screen. If you do use alcohol, I would suggest a teeny tiny amount.
